Philip Lee Williams is an award-winning novelist who has spent his entire life in Georgia. He is the author of nine novels, two memoirs, one essay collection, and a children's book. Also a widely published poet, he founded and edited the poetry journal Ataraxia. In 2007 Williams received a Governor's Award in the Humanities in recognition of his many contributions to the state's literary heritage.
